The Language of Dance
We know that learning to dance is not only a fun but a logical process that anyone can accomplish. While teaching, we relate learning to dance to learning a new language. We start with the ABC’s of dance and then teach our students to create their own dance “words” and eventually “sentences” so that they can become original and competent social dancers.
Getting Started- Introductory Special
You can start receiving the benefits of dance in just 2 half hours for only $20! After your 2 half hour Introductory Special, we’ll move you on to hour- long lessons where the fun really begins!
Beyond the Introductory Special
Private hour- long lesson programs start at 5 hours and are personalized just for you. After assessing your rate of learning as well as gaining an understanding of what you would like to gain from becoming a great social dancer, we will be able to direct you towards the appropriate hour- long Dance FX program. Beginners will start with foundation material and work their way up to programs that include more advanced techniques, concepts and theories. (More extensive programs include unlimited free group classes, one complimentary dance night per month and discounts on all other events.)

Dance FX Studios' Frequently Asked Questions
Choosing the right studio is essential to having a positive dance experience. We know that you’re looking for the best dance results in the shortest amount of time and Dance FX Studios can help you to achieve that goal! Listed below are the most FAQ’s at Dance FX.
1. Do I need a dance partner?
Absolutely not! Learning to dance with one of our trained professionals is extremely beneficial. Your instructor will aid in your leading or following to make you the best dancer possible before trying your new skills out on someone you've never danced with. This will help you to become a more confident and relaxed dancer.
2. What if I have two left feet, can you help me?
No one is born knowing how to dance. Over the years, we've trained hundreds of "regular people" with no dance experience on how to enjoy the benefits of dancing. It is our job to make sure that through a combination of Private lessons, Group Classes, Practice Sessions and Dance Parties, you can move with ease at whatever level of dance you desire.
3. How much do lessons at Dance FX cost?
We offer a variety of lesson rates based on your needs. For example, when you purchase a dance lesson package, which includes Private Lessons, Group Classes and Dance Parties/ Practice Sessions, your lessons can be purchased at a discounted "bulk" rate. We also offer discounts to wedding couples who are looking to make a new start. Keep in mind that we accept Visa and Mastercard debit/ credit cards as well as in- state checks. Please ask your instructor for other pricing options.
4. Is there a dress code for your classes or for private lessons?
Some classes do require specific attire. Please see the Group Class calendar and click on the class you're interested in for specifics. Otherwise, we want you to feel as comfortable as possible. Proper shoes are the only main requirement for any class we offer.
5. What are your hours of operation?
We are open from 10 am- 10 pm Monday through Thursday, 10 am- 8 pm on Fridays and 11 am- 5 pm on Saturdays. For special arrangements due to time conflicts, please speak with your instructor.
6. How many hours of lessons will I/ we need to reach my/ our dancing goals?
Everyone has their own rate of learning that your instructor will be able to assess after your first couple of lessons. Remember to be patient as learning to dance can be related to learning a foreign language. With time, practice and persistence, your dancing goals will surely be reached.
7. Do you teach wedding couples and their parties?
We love wedding couples! There is no bigger joy for us than to watch two people in love learn to move as one for their big day. We've choreographed countless first dances to all types of music. If you don't already have music chosen, we'll help you choose a special song to make your day one to remember. As mentioned above, we offer special rates for wedding couples and their bridesmaids, groomsmen and family. Please ask a manager for our wedding couples packages.
8. Do you rent your studio out to other instructors or for special events?
Yes to both. Instructors can call and speak with a manager about floor rental for Workshops, Group Classes or Private instruction. Special events such as Weddings, Bar/ Bat Mitzvah's, Sweet 16's, Birthday's and Corporate functions can also be planned through a studio manager.
